Abstract

Rad Pogled iza zatvorenih očiju nastao je kao rezultat crtanja sa zatvorenim očima, jedne od vježbi za poticanje kreativnosti. Skulpturalno oblikovanje tih crteža u obliku plišanih igračaka nadovezuje se na problematiku nostalgije za djetinjstvom kao vremena bezbrižnosti te prijelaznih predmeta koji osobama pružaju emocionalnu podršku tijekom prijelaznih razdoblja. Apstraktni crteži rađeni tehnikom pastela i kreda predstavljaju spontani izraz umjetnikove psihe, od oblika koje vidi kada zatvori oči do psihičkog stanja i nagona za stvaranje oblika koji se u tom trenutku čine ispravnim. Transformacijom tih dvodimenzionalnih crteža u trodimenzionalne oblike dobivene su apstraktne skulpture koje nalikuju likovima kakve bi djeca crtala, a njihovo oblikovanje spužvom i filcom, poput plišanih igračaka, dodatno naglašava želju za povratkom u djetinjstvo i odvajanjem od života odrlaslosti.

Abstract (english)

The work View Behind Closed Eyes was created as a result of drawing with closed eyes, one of the exercises to stimulate creativity. The sculptural design of these drawings in the form of plush toys is connected to the issue of nostalgia for childhood as a time of carelessness and transitional objects that provide people with emotional support during transitional periods. Abstract drawings made with the pastel and chalk technique, represent a spontaneous expression of the artist's psyche, from the form that can be seen when he closes his eyes to the mental state and the urge to create forms that seem correct at that moment. By transforming these two-dimensional drawings into three-dimensional shapes, abstract sculptures were obtained that resemble characters that children would draw, and their shaping with sponge and felt, like stuffed toys, further emphasizes the need to return to childhood and separate from life's adulthood.
