Abstract

U ovom diplomskom radu opisani su konzervatorsko-restauratorski radovi na ikoni. Slika, ikona malog formata, nepoznatog autora i godine nastanka, privatno je vlasništvo. Zbog malo podataka o samoj slici, bilo je potrebno provesti više analiza i povijesno-umjetnička istraživanja kako bi mogli utvrditi dataciju slike i materijale od kojih je sama slika izrađena. Na temelju atribucije, ikonografskog istraživanja te povijesno-umjetničke analize same slike, nije bilo moguće odrediti godinu nastanka slike već je bilo samo moguće pretpostaviti period nastanka. Slika je bila prekrivena debelim slojem prašine i prljavštine te na nekim dijelovima uništena kroz sve slojeve, a likovi su bili slabo vidljivi te teško prepoznatljivi. Na prvi pogled se moglo uočiti da nije bila u adekvatnim uvjetima te je pretrpjela mehanička i biološka oštećenja. Istraživanja i brojne analize koje su bile provedene, omogućile su rekonstrukciju ikone, prema pretpostavci kako je izvorno izgledala. Zbog oštećenja koje je pretrpjela sama ikona i zbog etičkih razloga, odlučeno je da će se radovi usmjeriti prvenstveno konzerviranju umjetnine, te da će se izvesti i tehnološka kopija, tj. postavka kako je slika izgledala u svom izvornom obliku. Budući da se radi o kopiji, nastojalo se koristiti materijale jednake ili bar približne izvornima.Sam rad je popraćen pisanom, grafičkom i fotografskom dokumentacijom.

Abstract (english)

This graduate thesis is describing conservation and restoration works on an icon. This artwork, small format icon of unknown author and year of creation, is privately owned. Because of little information, on the painting itself, various analyses and historical-artistic studies were needed to determine the data of painting and materials from which the painting was made. Based on the attribution itself, the iconographic research, and the historical-artistic analysis of the image itself, it was not possible to determine the year of the painting. The age could only be assumed based on the carried-out research. The picture was covered with a thick layer of dust and dirt, and in some parts it was destroyed through all layers, and the characters were poorly visible and hardly recognizable. At first glance it could be seen that it was not in adequate conditions and suffered mechanical and biological damage. The research and numerous analyses that were carried out enabled the reconstruction of the icon, assuming how it originally looked. Due to the damage suffered by the icon itself and for ethical reasons, it was decided that the works will focus primarily on the conservation of the artwork and that the technological copy will be produced, that is, the setting as the painting looked in its original form. Since it was a copy, we tried to use the same source materials and at least approximate the original. The paper itself is accompanied by written, graphic and photographic documentation.
